Maria Fernanda Vasquez Karim is a highly accomplished computer engineer with a diverse background in both hardware and software development. Born in Ecuador and raised in New Jersey, she excelled academically, graduating at the top of her class with a B.S. in Computer Engineering and a minor in Applied Mathematics from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Her career has been marked by significant contributions to leading team in tech companies. At IBM, she focused on microprocessor development while completing her graduate studies. Later, at Intel, she played a key role in advancing 5G technology within the Platform Engineering Group. Now at Google, Maria leads the New Platform Evaluation Team within YouTube's Core Experience Team, focusing on Machine Learning and spearheads Android initiatives across YouTube apps. In addition to her technical leadership, Maria is the Global Co-Lead for the YouTube Familia Employee Resource Group
